Meet Our Team: Andrew Evans (Lead Teacher)

What inspired you to join our organisation? Can you share a little about your journey that led you here?

I’ve had the opportunity to work in both Tech and Education over the past decade. I would like to bring that experience to Take2 to help those transitioning away from New Zealand’s justice system. Personally, I’m passionate about technology and the opportunities it can provide people which primarily motivated me to join Take2.

Share a moment that has been memorable for you so far.

Seeing students within the justice system applying themselves to the Take2 programme, utilizing and applying the skills they’ve learnt, and building professional applications.

What impact do you hope to make at Take2?

I hope to help continue the amazing work these students and Take2 have done so far.

Besides work, what passions or hobbies do you pursue?

Outside of work, you’ll find me at the tennis courts, traveling the North Island in a rusty campervan, or spending time with friends and family.
